Did You Know?

Food Allergies in Children

According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, they estimate that up to 2 million, or 8% of children in the United States are effected by food allergies.

Which ones are they?

Cow's Milk (or cow's milk protein)
Eggs
Fish and Shellfish
Peanuts and Tree Nuts
Soy
Wheat

How can I tell if my child might have food allergies?

What signs can I look for?

Dripping Nose
Itchy Eyes
Rashes and Hives
Nausea
Diarrhea
Labored Breathing
Anaphylactic Shock

Any one of these symptoms can be related to other issues and not allergies, so with anything consult your child's doctor and let them do a formal diagnoses of your child.
