LaDy LaDuke Loves Ladies

Courtney and Betina of LaDy LaDuke have thought of it all when it comes to nursing covers... Tired of backside exposure with your nursing cover? Do you stand in public while nursing, pushing a stroller or chase another kid around?  We chatted with LaDy LaDuke to find out why they are the answer to all of our nursing cover needs!

Tell us a bit about yourself and what arts/ crafts that you make?

We are two sisters, who always loved fashion and design, sharing a room, and playing dress up. Our Mom used to sew many of our clothes, as well as her own, and we would have a ball looking through her Vogue patterns. So, the design seed was always there. Then we were out with our sister-in-law, who was trying to nurse in public, while walking, chasing her toddler, and tugging at the back of her shirt to keep covered, and thought, why don’t we make something that really works for Moms! After research and prototypes, we came up with our original full coverage, mobile nursing cover invention…The Feeder Frock. We launched the Feeder Frock here on Etsy, and have now added our own unique versions of binky holder accessories, as well as nursery decor items.

What is your best seller?

How do you make your shop and your product stand out from the others?

We aim to take very stylized and interesting photos of our products with a model. We want Moms to feel like they can still be cool and fashionable, even after having a baby and feeling their bodies out of whack. We try to cater to Moms with a variety of tastes, colors and custom choices, and to be able to offer seasonal collections. We also wanted plus size options, since plus size women seem to get left out when it comes to nursing covers on the market. We really strive to make our products have the most problem solving function and style a Mom can find.

What is your favorite item in your shop?

So tough!...The Feeder Frocks are like our little babies, but the favorite item right now would be our Bella Couture Curtains in hot pink.
