Uncomplicated Beauty

With some of the best pictures you'll find on Etsy, Neisha's Blue displays uncomplicated beauty!  Please read on to learn more about this exceptional Etsy seller and EtsyBaby team member!

Tell us a bit about yourself and what arts/ crafts that you make?

My name is Neisha, I have been married to a cute cool guy for the last eight years and I am the mother of a little blue who will turn two in April. In addition to being a wife and a mum (like my son calls me) I work outside home in a QVC warehouse as a production planner and I run all aspects of my boutique on my spare time (between four and six hours per day). I Graduated college in 2002 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and completed a master degree in International Management in 2009.

I design flower headbands for cute little girls and everyone that loves them. I love to mix materials, but strive to offer excellent quality and craftsmanship at affordable prices.

Is there anything unique about your product?

I am from a beautiful small island in the Caribbean called Puerto Rico and when I was 9 years old my mom thought me how to weave satin. I personally call it Paris Style, because is elegant and feminine. This headband style does not use any elastic, but it holds to the delicate baby head without causing dents. I have different styles and widths. I recently designed a beautiful baptism headband for a customer and the piece could be placed in a shadow box to keep as a heirloom. It is so delicate and pretty.

How do you make your shop and your product stand out from the others?

Gorgeous images, always relist, use clear descriptions and excellent price points.

What is your favorite item in your shop?

I will say two are my favorites…because those were the ones that launched me to where I am today. One is a silk double flower headband with dainty hydrangeas in Light Pink and Cream and my all time favorite the Antique Pink Double Flower Headband.

What inspires you?

When I was able to commission graphic designer and favorite Etsy artist Stephanie Fizer to create my store logo she asked me the same…three things inspire me…My little Blue, Hydrangeas and Uncomplicated (but elegant) Beauty

Anything else you would like to share?

Being a successful Etsy seller takes time, some tears here and there and a bunch of effort, and many sleepless nights. When you start getting busy, there is no one but yourself doing all, the images, the listings, the relisting, paying the bills, purchasing the supplies, interacting with the customers, taking the stuff to the post office and many other details that I can’t recall, but it is all worth it. Once you have mastered some basics, everything tends to fall in place.

My best advise treat well your customers no matter how challenging they may be. People have embraced handmade because personalize service. If they wanted cold and unfriendly they will go to a local Mall. Educate yourself in CPSIA, we have hard times coming on our way this coming February. We need to be prepared and ready! Much success to all of you!
