Aloha Bitty Bambu

Meet Taryn from Bitty Bambu.  She lives on a volcano in Maui.  Really.  Designing and sewing children's clothes, accessories, and personalized items while overlooking the beautiful island of Maui must be amazing!  She says that nature is an "inverwoven" part of the life that she shares with her husband and two children, and that nature inspires her creations and sewing artwork - which is evident in her shop.  

Bitty Bambu has many t-shirt designs which highlight some of natures greatest wonders - the sun, the flowers, the animals, the sea.  There are also many burp cloth designs, all in fantastic bright colors and fabrics, which seems to be her biggest sellers lately.  The personalized pillowcases provide a unique and customizable idea, with each letter popping in a whimsical font.

Remembering Emma

Welcome to Snanimals, where each shoe is handpainted with LOVE. 

Jane Perillo, founder and artist of Snanimals, is inspired by her children.  She handpaints each adorable little bug, animal, and character with the detail and creativity of a mom creating for a child.  Her creations provide Jane with a way to remember and honor her late daughter, Emma, and she believes that Emma lives on in every pair of shoes she creates.  In addition, Jane is creating for others something that is fun and practical and that children can wear every day.

The big sellers, according to Jane, are Minnie Mouse, Elmo, Cupcakes, and Ladybugs.  Jane enjoys the colorful ones, particularly the green and pink ladybugs and the cows.  Along with many different shoes to choose from, Jane also handpaints baby booties, onesies, bloomers, and totes.   

Jane's daughter, Anna, is a great and willing shoe model who makes it clear which ones are her favorites!  She prefers the sneakers, and she loves Elmo!  Anna has quite a shoe collection for a kid!

BLOG SIGNATURE TUTORIAL

Are you ready to have a fun, little signature at the bottom of your blog? Here's what you do:


1. Go to http://www.mylivesignature.com/

2. Click on "Click Here To Start"

3. Select the first option - "Using the Signature Creation Wizard" (you can also choose to use your computer's mouse and write a signature or scan in your signature, but for this tutorial we will be using the signature creation wizard)

4. Type in what you want your signature to say... your name, a fun phrase, whatever! (I chose "Have a Daisy Day! ~Liz" for my blog... be creative!!)

5. Choose the font... there are 120 different choices :)

6. Choose the size

7. Choose the color for your signature and/or the color for the background... if you don't want a color for the background, choose transparent.

8. Choose a slope to your signature, if you'd like!!

9. You can do one of two things now (or three if you'd like to purchase animation)... you can save your signature as a picture (right click on image and save to your computer) or you can get the html code to imbed into your blog.


You want to imbed the code into your blog template, you say??? (this is for Blogger, by the way!)

* log in and click on "customize" at the top right of your screen.
* under settings, open the tab "formatting"
* at the bottom, you will see a section for "blog template"... copy and paste there
* SAVE!!


Ok - now it's your turn!! Try it out, add it to your blog and come back here and comment on your success :) HAVE FUN!!

Dear EtsyBABY Mothers,

I hope that you had a wonderful day... a day filled with love and family and special memories that you will cherish all year long! I hope your day was filled with lots of hugs and kisses and special people telling you how much they appreciate you! And who could forget those darling handmade gifts of love from the smallest members of our families - those just can't be replaced!

We all made the journey to motherhood differently - early in life or late, easy pregnancy or not, fast labor or long, fussy baby or so very easy - but what we have in common are those special little people that call us MOM.

That simple little word (that sometimes you just don't want to hear one more time that day) brings with it responsibility, joy, love, sadness, fear... every emotion you can think of. But would you give it up for anything else in the world.... I know you wouldn't :)
